Stephane Chaumet (1971, Dunkirk, France has spent long stays in countries of Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. He has published the novels: Même pour ne pas vaincre (Le Seuil, Paris 2011) / Aun para no vencer (Vaso Roto, Mexico 2013), adapted in the theater in France in 2012; Les Marionnettes (Le Seuil 2015) / The Puppets and the story Au bonheur des voiles (Le Seuil 2013) / The Paradise of the Veils, chronicles of Syria (Pre-Texts, Spain 2016); The books of poetry: Dans la nudité du temps / In the Nudity of Time (L'Oreille du Loup, Paris 2007); Urbaines miniatures / Urban miniatures (L'Oreille du Loup 2007); La traversée de l'errance / La travesía de la errancia (La Cabra, Mexico 2010); Les cimetières engloutis / The cemeteries swallowed (Al Manar, Paris 2013); Fenses / Fissures (Al Manar 2015); Le hasard et la perte / Chance and loss (Beetle, Bogota, 2017); And the book of photographs: The Guest / L'hôte, l'autre, photos of Syria before the war (Uniediciones, Bogota 2017). He translated several Latin American and contemporary Spanish poets into French.
