Jorge Torres Medina was born in Chiquinquira, Colombia, in 1956. He has written the books of poetry:  was born in Chiquinquira, Colombia, in 1956. He has written the books of poetry: Instants and Profanations, 1980; Memory of Leisure, 1998; Liquid Verses, 2002; Threshold of Wandering, 2008; the art book Graphs of Wandering, with engravings by Jesus Tonatzin, 2015; Amazements, 2017.

 

He has been published in several anthologies of Latin American poetry in Paris: End-of-Century Latin-American Writing, 1998; Pages of the Colombian Literature in Paris, 2002; and the Poetic Anthology Far from the Origin, 2001. He also was included in the Colombian Poetry Anthologies of the publishing house El Perro y La Rana de Venezuela 2008 and in the Anthology 60 Colombian poets from the Caza de Libros editions, Bogota, Colombia, 2010; Poems of World, Turkey, 2013.

Several of his poems have been published in various journals, including Comun Presencia (Bogota), Prometeo (Medellin), Abril Magazine (Luxembourg), Vericuetos-Chemins Scabreux (Paris, Les cahiers du Détour (Paris), ALBA Magazine (Paris), Les Ailleurs Poétique (Paris), Luna Nueva Magazine (Colombia, 2015). Voices Against Infamy (Caza de Libros, Colombia 2016), Migratory Winds, Latin American Anthology in Paris. Caza de Libros (Colombia 2016) and Honorable (Poetry Festival of Medellin 2016).
