Gustavo Valdés was born in Pamplona, North of Santander, Colombia, in 1982. He graduated in Philosophy from the National University of Colombia, During his studies he published poetry and fiction in the magazines, Contestarte (with the poems “Poetic Nothing” and “Tide Effect”), Capital Letter (with the story Separation and the poem “Someday women will leave me something more than their hair”), La Ventana (with the poems “Displaced” and “Healthy”), Cronopio Online Magazine (Issue 59 with the story Stories with Cat), and most recently the publication of a poem “Out of Sorts” issue 16 of the science fiction magazine Cosmocápsula, and the narrative Everything in order, for issue 16 of Phoenix magazine. In the 1st Erotic Poetry Contest "Diviertesex", his poem “Ofidios” was selected to be part of the anthology of the same name. He is currently completing a Creative Writing Master's Degree in poetry at the National University of Colombia.
