It is a spiritual process for the transformation of the collective conscience and the qualification of culture. With a trajectory of 30 years, it has made significant contributions to the construction of peace and national reconciliation and for exercising cultural and fundamental human rights.
Between July 14 and 15, the First WPM Congress was held in Medellín, poets from 60 countries were represented.
It is the formative space of the festival, where some invited poets socially project their knowledge and experiences regarding essential issues of our time. Directed to students, teachers interested in poetry, poets, directors of poetry creation workshops.
This is the largest selection of video-poems on the Internet, which about 860 videos, in 85 languages and subtitles in Spanish, with poems from more than 810 poets from 161 countries and 33 indigenous nations.
Prometeo is a Colombian NGO that operates mainly in the cultural sector; it is an independent organization that focus all its activities on the creation, investigation and diffusion of poetry and other forms of artistic expression, as a complement of the actions in favor of the constant transformation of consciousness, individuals and contemporary societies.
