Life is older than me
or as old as me
and maybe its just a holding back of a dream
where everyone moves streets and rivers
with nobility of executioners

and the voice is the ancientness of some death

silent and unique

Our history breaks loose
our history like a puddle of blood

         and a gray-haired love
      that senses races and cultures
fighting for a space that grows as a jail

Everything exists and helps
get out from the womb of your soul and sing

sing the truths of your wonderings

      please stay fertile and living, solitude
or pose your cheek in the pillow of the shade
for there is no longer an election to move the world
with a single scream

You have three and more or nothing and everything
      you have or you don't have
but after all, there is you

Let our children be blessed

            let us be blessed
              so possesed of ourselves stepping unto earth
                    let the birds and the fish and the animals be blessed
                    naives of the earth
sweet slaughter of spirits
              battle of the beehive...

Víctor Raúl Jaramillo was born in Sonsón, Antioquia, Colombia, on June 14, 1966. He is a poet, musician, philosopher and tewacher, and the creator of a Philosophical Consulting Room. Founder of the progressive-metal group Reencarnación.
