An Orchard of Memories
With each stepyou dropped a seed
and left a memory.
I followed you,
picking up
the seeds
and planting them.
Often I wept as the memory trees blossomed
and mourned their decaying withered trunks.
You forgot those memories.
But each day love grew stronger in my living orchard.
One day
You might love me so much
That each seed would sprout
Green with every step of yours.
